Craven Honey
Welcome to Craven Honey website! We (Patrick and Lori Craven) have been raising honey bees since 2014. We live in the little rural town Bunnlevel, North Carolina where we keep our bees. We started out raising bees because we noticed very little to no bee activity in our garden so I started studying up on honeybees. I was hooked. I started raising honeybees to pollinate our personal garden and as a hobby. Before we received our first package of bees, I got an extraction call. I went looked at a hive in old house and scheduled the extraction. I loved it! So, I started to advertise bee extractions and swarm removals. Well, that is how Craven Honey was born. We have been beekeeping for over 5 years. We sell our honey, rent our hives for pollination, Extract or capture Swarms, and move them to our Apiary located in Bunnlevel approximately 23 miles North of Fayetteville NC.
We now have 2 out apiaries where we keep bees year-round. We only pollinate for our local Farmers with-in 45-mile radius which allows us to know where our honey is coming from and can truly call our honey (Local).
We have partnered up with some local pest control companies, so we can remove bees without having them killed.

SAVING THE BEES ONE HIVE AT A TIME !!!!!
Without bees, there would be a lot of unpollinated fruits, flowers and trees that would not look so pretty. In the process of going from flower to flower to collect nectar, pollen from many plants gets stuck on the bee’s pollen basket (hair on the hind legs). This fertilizes the plants and produces seeds. The nectar is then carried back to the hive and turns into honey.
